My name is Paul T. Henley, and I work for an institute focused on liberal arts colleges. Most recently, I was on staff at a state affiliate for the National Education Association. I spent four years in higher education, training some fantastic young people to become music teachers. I began my career as a secondary music educator (7 years), teaching students in public and parochial schools.
My family of five includes a wonderful woman who works as a reading specialist at an elementary school. She is working on administration certification after completing a master’s degree last year. Our three children each attend a different level school: one in high school, one in middle school, one in elementary school.
Although I have lived in 8 states, I spent the first quarter century in South Dakota. I am nearing a decade of living in a suburb of Austin, Texas called Pflugerville, a.k.a. “God’s Country.”
